Orange Cap with Sachin
Generally T20 is the game where the hard hitters get the fame by their huge and hard hittings. Its a reduced format,so batsmen cant relax and steady his innings and then go through with bowlers because there are just 20 overs for the Team. So its difficult for the batsmen who try to make them steady and then accelerate their innings. So T20 is a game for hard hitters who want to just go on from the very first ball, so that as much score can be scored in this 20 over.
But this IPL 3 clearly shows the cricketing shots are more than enough in any Format of the game. This IPL3 is a clear evidence that perfect cricketing shots and thoughtful shots are large enough to score in 20 over than just hitting the ball hard.
The evidence for this is the most runs stats in IPL3.
Sachin stands First in the most runs scored in IPL 3 indicating it with a Orange Cap. Its a procedure in IPL for honouring the most runs scored person by making them to wear a orange cap. At the End of the match who is leading in runs will be wearing that Orange Cap.Kallis stands second in most runs in IPL 3.
Orange cap has been with Kallis in the first half of the League and in later part its with Sachin. The names of the leading run scorers clearly indicates the fact of this article. As we all know Sachin and Kallis are not Hard Hitters. They just played good cricketing shots throughout this season and scored there runs.
STATS
Player Matches Runs SR
Sachin 12 542 137.56
Kallis 13 528 120.54
Sachin has got all these runs by playing good cricketing shots, some thoughtful shots and as usual by his superb timing and excellent placement. He has hit 74 boundaries in this season with 3 sixes. This stats also indicates how well he kept his wicket precious by just hitting only three sixes. He was leading his team from the Front and guiding the youngsters and giving them chances to explore their
talent.
Sachin has clearly proved that cricketing shots are enough in this format than hitting the ball hard and straining ourself. We can see the difference between the two by the examples of Indian Players.Yousuf Pathan as we all know very talented person and he was a very hard hitter of the ball. Sachin on the other hand never tried to hit the ball hard in this season just waited for the ball and spotted the exact place where it has to land and executed some brilliant shots and some times manufactured new shots too.
We can see Yousuf not able to perform consistently and getting out by trying hard hitting all the times. But Sachin was really performing Consisitently.
Sachin was really in great touch and let we hope he performs more consisitently and make his team to win the IPL trophy for the first time.
